The key to time management is organising your time, but how to do that effectively? Most people use To Do Lists, but if you’re not putting things in the right place on your list, ticking things off is still an uphill struggle. Today, I’m going to share one of my favourite techniques for managing your time. I’ve used Covey’s Time Management Matrix on and off for years, and I still think it’s the best way to focus on what’s really important.
Once you’re familiar with the quadrants and what they mean you can quickly create your To Do List in four sections…

1 – Quadrant of Demand
Urgent and Important: These activities usually get done straight away.
2 – Quadrant of Focus
Important, but not urgent: These activities are high impact, make them a priority. Focus here means you will achieve your goals faster.
3 - Quadrant of Illusion
Urgent, but not important: These activities are deceptive – don’t confuse Urgent (time pressure) and Important (significant impact).
4 - Quadrant of Escape
Not urgent and not important: the more time you spend here, the fewer goals you will achieve.
Try using this technique for yourself, I'd love to hear how you get on in the comments.
